Pat McGrath Labs are pioneers of producing the most-sought after beauty products on the market and it’s easy to see why. Beyond the brand’s perspicuous pigments and blue-ribbon quality, each lick of gloss and lip bullet feels like being part of an exclusive beauty club. Exclusivity is also fundamental for Supreme New York, the popular streetwear brand whose drops sell out within minutes – even more so the reason that the eternally desirable brand would partner up with Mother McGrath for the first-ever collab in its’ 26 years of life.

"Introducing Supreme®/ Pat McGrath Labs Lipstick MatteTrance™ hyper-pigmented lipstick in shade 'SUPREME' developed exclusively for @supremenewyork," McGrath announced on Twitter this morning, disclosing a brand-new tube of "Supreme" red outfitted in the brand's iconic logo with Pat McGrath's gold lip emblem.

In line with the limited-quantity blueprint Supreme has mastered with its get-'em-while-they're-hot releases, the new MatteTrance — avaliable in just one shade,  only on Supreme New York's website — is sure to sell out quickly. As of now, a launch date is undisclosed, but you can expect the lipstick to drop in time for Autumn/Winter 2020.

Fans on Twitter already can’t get enough of the collaboration. "I haven't wanted anything Supreme in years, but I will be getting the Supreme x Pat McGrath. It's only right," expressed one user. "Just when I thought I was too old to wear Supreme, they collab with MOTHER PAT MCGRATH. Take my money!" wrote another.

Some were startled that MAC Cosmetics weren’t elected by Supreme for its first beauty collaboration, correlating with many fashion labels that have previously done so, but determined that Pat McGrath Labs is the pre-eminent brand for the job. Others commended the brands for affiliating to produce what is set to be the hottest beauty launch of the year. "Supreme always collabs with the best brands for accessories to make sure they have the best quality item," one fan said. "So choosing Pat McGrath for the lipstick collab was a big brain decision this is something I will definitely be buying."

What we do know about both McGrath and Supreme, is that they know how to keep devoted customers on their toes. So, if you plan on getting your hands on the new drop, we suggest watching your Instagram and Twitter feed like your life depends on it… (no we’re not being dramatic)
