Paris Jackson On a Mission To Embrace Her “Imperfect” Self
“I'm human. Not a dress-up doll.”
Paris Jackson has been a bit of a body-image campaigner of late. From defending armpit hair to calling out a Twitter troll who said she'd put on weight, to posting an inspiring tweet about acne, Paris is flying the flag for body confidence – and she sure knows how to handle the haters.
“Beauty is not measured by numbers, or symmetry, or shapes, or sizes, or colors, or anything like that. Beauty, true beauty, should be measured by the soul, the character, integrity, intentions and mindset of a person, what comes out of their mouth. How they behave. Their heart,” she told i-D, after commenting on society's insecurity-inducing unrealistic beauty standards.
It's always refreshing to see celebs opening up about real bodies and calling out the shamers because, seriously, why do people have to be so shallow all the darn time?! We are the perfect sum of all our imperfections because we are human. Keep it up, Paris!
