Palace Collaborate With Fashion Photographer Juergen Teller

The capsule collection features Teller’s latest work and archive classics.

POSTED BY ERIN DEVINE

Palace Skateboards have joined forces with famed German fine art and fashion photographer, Juergen Teller for a capsule collection featuring the artists latest work and archive classics. The pair have been working together since 2018 with Teller shooting the Palace skate team for campaigns and look books in locations like Tokyo, Naples and Palm Springs.

Teller is one of the fashion industry’s most iconic photographers having worked with Kanye West to shoot a Yeezy-clad Kim Kardashian crawling up a hill in 2015 and photographing Victoria Beckham with her feet dangling out of her brands shopping bag in 2008. The artist is known for his wacky and provocative concepts and overexposed visual style.

For their first official collaboration, the duo has created a selection of t-shirts, dress shirts, hoodies and in true Palace fashion, a collection of skateboard decks. The pieces feature archival images from Teller’s career including his controversial ‘Frozen dead dog, Czechoslovakia’ image from 1990. The more playful designs feature a frog sat upon a stack of plates as well as a flowery visual of a wet dog. As for accessories, the skateboard carries an image of Teller’s partner, Dovile Drizyte, while tote bags are covered in frog images.
