Miley Cyrus' "Something Beautiful": A Cinematic Visual Album Redefining Pop

Tribeca film debut, theatrical release & high-fashion emotion await.

Miley Cyrus is flipping the pop script with her ninth studio album Something Beautiful, dropping May 30 via Columbia Records. But this isn’t just another album—think cinematic, emotional, and surreal. Executive produced by Miley and Shawn Everett, the 13-track visual album leans into healing, glam existentialism, and big Pink Floyd’s The Wall energy. The project already gave us lead single End of the World and the dreamy ballad More to Lose, teasing a lush, melancholic vibe.

Inspired by her chart-dominating 2023 track Flowers, Miley describes this as the album she’s "been craving [her] whole adult career." Expect a full-on pop renaissance with experimental flair, high fashion moments, and plenty of heart.

One Night Only: Miley on the Big Screen

The Something Beautiful era isn’t stopping at your headphones. Miley’s accompanying visual film will make its world debut at New York’s Tribeca Festival on June 6, 2025, complete with a live appearance and convo with the queen herself. The film hits theaters for one night only—June 12 in North America and June 27 internationally. Mark May 22 if you want a seat—tickets drop on this website.

High Fashion Meets High Emotion

Co-directed by Cyrus alongside Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, the film is a hyper-stylized "pop opera fueled by fantasy." The trailer already teased Thierry Mugler couture, cosmic visuals, and epic sound design courtesy of Dune mixer Alan Meyerson. It’s giving psychedelic fever dream meets cathartic theater. Miley’s boyfriend Maxx Morando and Mandy director Panos Cosmatos also left their fingerprints on the vibe, ensuring it’s weird, beautiful, and wholly Cyrus.

Pop with Purpose

From a private Spotify event to a glam rollout with Harper’s Bazaar, this album-film duo is shaping up to be Miley’s most personal and daring project yet. It’s not just a moment—it’s a multi-sensory era. Healing, heartbreak, high art? Count us all the way in.
