Merrachi Is Bringing Its Modest Fashion To Berlin
How founder Nada Merrachi turned a personal style challenge into a fashion brand.
Finding clothes that reflect your personal style should be easy. But when Nada Merrachi decided to wear a headscarf, she struggled to find pieces that felt modest without compromising on the way she wanted to dress. Instead of settling for what was available, she started creating her own.
Drawing on sewing skills she learned from her grandmother and aunt in Morocco, Nada began making clothes that brought together modesty, contemporary design and her own aesthetic. In 2020, she turned that personal project into Merrachi, co-founding the Amsterdam-based label with her partner, Zouhair.
Now, the brand is bringing its latest collection to Berlin with a pop-up in Mitte from November 5 to 7, giving the city's fashion crowd a chance to discover its approach to modest dressing in person.
Modest Fashion, Reimagined
Merrachi's Winter 2026 collection, titled “We Shape the City,” focuses on pieces designed for everyday life without losing their sense of style. Soft knitwear, structured coats, boiled wool and knitted dresses create a wardrobe built around layering, while pleated sleeves and considered proportions add interest.
The color palette moves through brown, beige, white and grey, with chestnut and burgundy bringing in richer tones. A Dalmatian-print capsule adds a more playful element to the collection.
Rather than treating modest fashion as a separate category with limited options, Merrachi approaches it as part of a wider conversation about personal style. The clothes are designed to offer coverage while still leaving room for individuality, whether that comes through silhouette, texture or a statement print.

From Amsterdam to Berlin
Berlin is the latest stop in Merrachi's growing pop-up journey, following appearances in Antwerp, Paris and London. The brand also has its flagship store in Amsterdam, continuing to build a presence beyond its home city.
The Merrachi Kiosk will open at Gipsstraße 11 in Berlin-Mitte from November 5 to 7, daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. A private event is scheduled for November 4.
For Nada, what began with the search for clothes that matched her own needs has grown into a brand with a clear point of view. Merrachi's Berlin arrival brings that vision to a new audience, showing how modest dressing can be contemporary, expressive and part of the wider fashion conversation.
