Maison Margiela Revamps Their 5AC Bag With Biodegradable Rubber

The brand is finding ways on how to make pieces more sustainable.

In a mission to finding ways to make their brand more sustainable, Maison Margiela has decided to revamp their 5AC bag. Their signature handbag has now been created with a biodegradable rubber. 

The 5AC bag was first introduced at the Maison Margiela's 2016 Spring / Summer collection presentation. This classic accessory is known for its special detailing that reveals a part of the inner lining. Also seen on the 5AC bag is the brand's signature four stitches. 

Colors of the updated version of this handbag includes white, tan, yellow, red, blue, gray and black. At the top of every colored bag choices, shoppers will find a plaid style finish which was placed on recycled cotton lining. This bag will be the must have for the upcoming Spring / Summer 2022 season

The new 5AC biodegradable rubber bag is now available online and in selected Maison Margiela stores. It has a price tag of $1740 USD.
