Louis Vuitton Are Reviving A Y2K Staple Accessory

The iconic LV monogram is now available in brand new silhouettes.

Louis Vuitton bag is a familiar sight, often spotted on celebrities navigating airports or proudly showcased by influencers on Instagram. Sidewalk traffic frequently comes to a halt as passersby gaze at the monogrammed leather through the windows of Louis Vuitton shops. In this latest update, the renowned fashion house expands its repertoire by incorporating the classic styles of the Christopher and Soft Trunk into multiple new designs.

What started as a backpack in the label's Fall/Winter 2004/05 collection is now available in Tote, Sling, or Messenger shapes. The collection includes a variety of textures, textiles, and sizes to choose from. Alongside this vintage renewal, Artistic Director of Menswear of the label Virgil Abloh's Soft Trunk design has undergone a revision and is now offered in a Mini Soft Trunk silhouette and a Trunk Wallet, amongst other varieties. The Soft Trunk transforms the brand's archetypal luggage trunk imagery into a supple, pocket-friendly version complete with a detachable shoulder strap (available in an edgy chain finish) as well as doubled-up zips to maximize utility and access.
