Louis Vuitton Are Reviving A Y2K Staple Accessory
The iconic LV monogram is now available in brand new silhouettes.
A Louis Vuitton bag is not an unfamiliar sight. Regularly adorned by celebs skulking through airports, frequently boasted by influencers on Instagram - traffic on the sidewalk often comes from halted bodies gazing at the monogrammed leather through Louis Vuitton shop windows. In this latest update, the popular fashion house expands its repertoire by implementing the classic styles of the Christoper and Soft Trunk into multiple new designs.
What was born as that backpack in the label's Fall/Winter 2004/05 collection is now newly available in Tote, Sling or Messenger shapes, accompanied in assortment by a range of textures, textiles and sizes to choose from.
Alongside this vintage renewal, Artistic Director of Menswear of the label Virgil Abloh's Soft Trunk design has undergone a revision and is now offered in a Mini Soft Trunk silhouette and a Trunk Wallet, amongst other varieties. The Soft Trunk transforms the brand's archetypal luggage trunk imagery into a supple, pocket-friendly version complete with a detachable shoulder strap (available in an edgy chain finish) as well as doubled up zips to maximise utility and access.
