Meet Key, The Virtual Stylist Inspiring Thousands With Her Fashion Collages
From designing doll clothes to being a digital fashion guru.
On Instagram, sandwiched between red carpet photos and influencer ads is a community brimming with creative talent and an eye for fashion. Virtual stylists post outfit collages to give inspiration and ideas to people who need a style boost.
Key, from McComb, Mississippi has been a virtual stylist since October 2019. Since then, her account (@keytheestylist) has grown to boast 15.4k followers. She started styling after a friend told her about the apps she could use to create outfit collages but her love for fashion goes way back.
“I’ve been in love with fashion since I was a little girl. At such a young age, I would make my own clothes for my dolls and that really fuelled my passion.”
When she first started, Key was worried that her work wouldn’t be good enough, but she has received incredible feedback from influencers and brands - a few have even reached out to work with her. Sometimes people reach out to her for styling tips.
“It feels great [to help people style outfits]. It’s an unimaginable feeling – like wow! I’m really good at what I do.”
Key’s hopes and dreams are endless. She wants to work with designers, style celebrities for events and have her own brand.
“Not only do I want to style, but I’d love to see people wearing my pieces as well. I plan on building a clothing and accessory brand one day. The sky is the limit for my career, both on and off Instagram.”
With an account that is a go-to internet spot for outfit inspiration mixed with art and feel-good quotes, Key is definitely one to watch.
