Kanye West Sells Archive Hoodies For Just $20!

Kanye West – who goes by Ye – has been influential in the fashion world with collaborations with Balenciaga, Gap, and Adidas. The retail price of such collaborations saw his streetwear hoodies selling at USD 80. His YEEZY Gap collaboration brought two of the most popular sales days in the history of Gap, selling USD 14 million of the Perfect Black Hoodie. It was an impressive generation of hype for an American clothing label that hasn't grown since its popularity in the 90s and early 2000s. 

However, after Ye's controversial statements about Kim Kardashian's anti-Semitic remarks and wearing 'White Lives Matter' T-shirts, these fashion brands have cut their ties with YEEZY. Adidas was the last to cut ties with Ye, claiming his "recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company's values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.

Yet, Ye won't back down. In a video shared by X17 Online on Instagram, Ye announced that he'll sell archive hoodies for $20 USD – a quarter of their retail price. 

The video saw Ye walking around a potential upcoming sample sale, stating, "we're beings with engineering opportunities. We're getting past the past. We're focussed on the future".

Ye's fashion career is seemingly on the brink. However, the discounted hoodies have mustered excitement on social media with much speculation of when the "sample sale" may occur. However, Ye will certainly update us soon, especially with his recent return to Twitter upon Elon Musk's ownership.
