Jacquemus Announces Physical Spring/Summer 2021 Runway Show

Here’s what we know about the show so far.

Following the recent decision of founder and designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus, to slow down his brand cycle by adapting a more sustainable business model, the French fashion label has customized its own timetable on the yearly fashion calendar.

By now only holding two shows a year on the Paris men’s calendar - usually in January and June - the collections will feature both menswear and womenswear in a bid to reduce the number of shows, mutualize fabrics, and slower the pace for Jacquemus’ team and partners.

Amongst the COVID-19 pandemic - whereby many brands have been left to re-evaluate the different ways that they can showcase their collections over the year - the brand recently took to Instagram to announce its second and last show of the year – L’Amour – which will present its Spring/Summer 2020 collection physically on July 16th, “in a secret location near Paris, towards the end of the day.”

We were blown away by Jacquemus’ previous Spring/Summer 2020 show, which saw the stylish cast of models walk down a 500-meter stretch of pink carpet set in a blooming lavender field in Provence, France (just miles away from where he grew up) and look forward to seeing what sentimental touch has been brought to his latest runway show, after all, intimacy is his forte!
