It's The Year Of The Gucci Tiger
Gucci joins in on the Lunar New Year festivities with the new "Gucci Tiger" collection.
Gucci is the latest brand to join in on the Lunar New Year festivities. In honor of the Year of the Tiger, Gucci is showing its stripes — launching the new “Gucci Tiger” collection.
With so many ready-to-wear pieces to choose from, the collection is also a celebration of Gucci’s rich history. Ranging from shoulder bags and silk scarfs to silk dresses and bomber jackets, the 80-piece collection reimages the house’s Tiger motif in a series of different variations. In honor of his “fascination with the beauty of nature,” Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele also utilizes and reworks Gucci’s “Flora” motif in items such as the loafers and wallets. A majority of the collection features the “GG” logo or the phrase, “Gucci Tiger,” in block lettering — as well as the Tiger or “Flora” motif.
In addition to the new collection, Gucci has paired the range with a campaign and a series of “Gucci Pop-Up” events. Beginning Jan. 14 and Jan. 17 in Canada, the Pop-Ups, which are inspired by the aesthetics of the “Gucci Tiger” campaign, will continue throughout the United States and feature the collection at each location.
