Tolü Makay And Malaki Prove That Ireland’s Got Talent

Their newest single feels like ‘Light’ at the end of tunnel.

Not only are they Ireland’s rising stars but also, strong advocates for mental health. Tolü Makay, a soul singer, centered her EP ‘Being’ around themes of self-love, whereas rapper Malaki shared his struggle with depression on his project ‘DFTTYM.’ It should not come as a surprise then that their collaboration, ‘Light,’ an uplifting and emotional release, celebrates happiness, found in difficult times.

Tolü Makay’s soulful, authentic and huge voice brings the memory of the best, most truthful, and unapologetic vocalists such as Erykah Badu, Nina Simone, or Amy Winehouse. Malaki’s rap perfectly completes her effortless singing. Most importantly though, both Tolü and Malaki believe in their song’s message as proved by their live performance of ‘Light’ on the Late Late Show Ireland, which shows that Ireland’s really got talent.
