HBO's Princess Diana Documentary Drops Next Month
The world will get another glance into the life of Lady Di.
HBO’s documentary film surrounding the life of Princess Diana, The Princess, will premiere next month.
The film is expected to be released August 13. The timing of the release is to commemorate the 25th anniversary of her death.
“...a visceral submersion into Diana’s life in the constant and often intrusive glare of the media spotlight,” as described in the film’s logline. “The film unfolds as if it were in the present, allowing viewers to experience the overwhelming adoration, but also intense scrutiny of Diana’s every move and the constant judgment of her character.”
The Princess will follow the life of Princess Diana, her relationship with Prince Charles as well as her sons Prince William and Prince Harry. The documentary directed by Ed Perkins (Black Sheep) is comprised of both television footage and public records.
The film first premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival. It is expected to drop on HBO Max at 8 p.m. EST.
