Supermodel Gigi Hadid has been a leading muse in the fashion industry since her runway debut in 2014, but now she is switching roles to become a creative force herself. The California native posted behind-the-scenes photos of an upcoming project to Instagram, a solo clothing brand titled Guest In Residence. Hadid joins her celebrity peers in becoming an entrepreneur, following brands like Bella Hadid’s Kin Euphorics, Hailey Bieber’s Rhode, and Harry Styles’ Pleasing

Hadid updated her titles as founder and creative director of Guest In Residence to her Instagram bio. The caption on her announcement post reads, “Been workin on something …. with love, @guestinresidence.” Friends and family flooded the comments, with her sister Bella writing, “What we’ve all been waiting for.” Some of fashion’s most successful creatives also commented in support, like Joseph Altuzarra, Tan France, Elsa Hosk, and Harris Reed.

The Instagram sneak-peek teases that the brand will focus on knitwear and loungewear, with loose fits and soft fabrics. Color swatches show an Earthy palette with hints of oranges and yellows. Hadid’s photo dump features her team hard at work, collaborating on color boards and discussing the upcoming collection.

Hadid’s resume extends beyond modeling, with design experience dating back to the beginning of her career. In 2016, Hadid began a four-season collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, presenting Americana-inspired collections in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Milan. The model has also designed capsules for Reebok and two swimsuit collections for Frankie’s Bikinis
