Petit Rond by FRAMA: Geometry Meets Comfort
Small frame, big character.
Introducing Petit Rond, the newest addition to FRAMA’s seating universe — a collection where simplicity and utility hold hands. This "small circle" series is a minimal yet expressive set of chairs and stools designed in brushed stainless steel, perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. With its light geometric shape and near-human familiarity, the Petit Rond defies expectations of what a metal-framed seat can feel like — light in form, generous in comfort.
Danish architect Troels Grum-Schwensen originally designed the chair for a café-gallery housed in an old sugar factory on Møn island. The contrast between the building’s worn textures and the sleek chair became the essence of its design. Later, when FRAMA visited his studio, the synergy was instant. Their shared philosophy — to create from honesty, function, and sensory experience — turned Petit Rond into a natural extension of their design language.
Where Space is Tight, Petit Rond Shines
Petit Rond Chairs and Stools are tailored for fluid spaces — cafés, studios, terraces, or any corner where flexibility matters. Thanks to their slender profiles and stackable structure, they quietly adapt without visual clutter. The seat and backrest offer a subtle flex, adjusting gently to the body and making the experience feel more organic than engineered.
From brushed stainless steel to soft leather seating options, this series keeps a timeless, modern edge. Whether lined along a gallery wall or scattered around a home garden, Petit Rond makes a bold point: less isn’t just more — it’s smarter, more human, and profoundly stylish.
Design That Connects Through the Everyday
FRAMA, based in Copenhagen, is more than a design studio — it’s a sensorial practice. With a collection spanning furniture, objects, skincare, and fragrance, their ethos is rooted in crafting connection. Every FRAMA piece seeks to slow down the moment, to remind us that beauty lies in usefulness and intimacy.
Petit Rond reflects this vision perfectly — a future heirloom shaped by balance, made for living.
