Extending The Life Of Luxury Fashion
Valentino Vintage understood the assignment.
April 18th marked the grand opening of Valentino Vintage stores in the fashion cities of London, Seoul and Paris. In 2021, the Valentino Vintage stores popped up in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Milan, as an initiative to extend their previously sold garments' lifecycle. The initiative allows Versace customers to swap their previously treasured pieces with a new replacement. In addition, three garments will now be eligible for swapping rather than the previous rule of one-item exchange.
All storefronts have been designed with unique attributes which add an immersive experiential quality to the occurrence. Valentino is also now connected with 1 Granary- a digital community created by students at Central State Martins in London. The partnership allows the Italian fashion house to donate garments to help the art and fashion design students experience professional craftsmanship.
We are peaking into the future of fashion with Valentino, and it is looking more promising. Extending a garment's lifecycle allows the durably crafted garments to be loved again and therefore, more wear. So where will be next for the Valentino Vintage?
