Emporio Armani Brings The 80's To Milan Fashion Week In Their FW21-22 Collection
High-waisted silhouettes, vibrant blazers and chunky accessories
Emporio Armani hit the digital runway for Milan Fashion Week, showcasing their FW21-22 collection named "In the Mood for Pop."
The collection takes inspiration from the 80's featuring high-waisted silhouettes, vibrant blazers and chunky accessories. Still in keeping with the brands focus of comfortable tailoring, ensembles showcase upscaled loungewear with an 80's flair.
Complimenting the bright colors featurered throughout the collection, the runway was darkly light with neon lettering spelling "Emporio Armani", placing a spotlight on the apparel.
Armani's collection featured amplified pieces, with high-waisted trousers paired with spaghetti strap suspenders.
Fuchsia, the new 'it' color was heavy featured throughout the show in jumpers, jackets and as pops of color to accessories. Paired with monochromatic items, the color stole the show.
Popular 80s patterns like plaid and houndstooth were reinvented and modernised, becoming deconstructed and abstract.
Playing on the 80's theme, brightly colored statement jewellery elevated the looks as well as leather gloves and silk scarves.
The shoes were not forgotten as loafers skimmered in jewel tones whilst velvet could be spotted on bomber jackets, jumpsuits and more, adding richness to the collection.
