Elliot Page Lands First Fragrance Campaign For Gucci
Everything is Gucci.
Elliot Page has been revealed to be the new face of Gucci and his fans are here for it.
The Italian fashion house announced the news on Thursday by posting a trio of headshot images of Elliot, as well as Inventing Anna’s Julia Garner and A$AP Rocky, to announce the faces of its new Gucci Guilty campaign.
The teaser image sees Elliot wearing a Hawaiian shirt and looking straight at the camera. “Oscar-nominated actor, director and producer Elliot Page stars alongside A$AP Rocky and Julia Garner in the new Gucci Guilty campaign. Stay tuned for its debut on 1 March,” the caption reads.
Elliot, who was previously known as Ellen Page, came out as trans at the end of 2020. “Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot,” he wrote at the time.
“I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive,” he added.
“To all trans people who deal with harassment, self-loathing, abuse and the threat of violence every day: I see you, I love you and I will do everything I can to change this world for the better.”
The new Gucci campaign for its iconic scent was photographed by Glen Luchford. In the teaser images, A$AP Rocky wears a blouse with a flower brooch, while Julia looks the epitome of old-school Hollywood in a faux fur jacket.
The trio follow in the footsteps of celebs like Ryan Gosling, Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, Dakota Johnson and Lana Del Rey who have all fronted Gucci campaigns in the past.
