Elliot Page's Character in The Umbrella Academy S3 is Transgender Viktor Hargreeves

Season 3 will be released on June 22nd.

Elliot Page took to Twitter on March 29th to announce that The Umbrella Academy will be officially acknowledging the actor’s transition in the upcoming series by having his character also come out as transgender. Elliot Page came out as transgender in December 2020 writing on Instagram “I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life.”

Following on from Elliot’s announcement online Netflix reassured fans that he would continue to star in The Umbrella Academy and yesterday Elliot proudly took to Twitter to share his character’s transition; writing “Meet Viktor Hargreeves”. Netflix also shared the news by retweeting Page’s tweet on their @Most account adding “FEELS SO GOOD TO SAY THIS: Elliot Page stars as Viktor Hargreeves in Umbrella Academy S3!!!”
