Dolly Parton Announces Dolly Beauty

Global phenomenon Dolly Parton has unveiled her new beauty line Dolly Beauty. The superstar country singer has decided to capture her old Hollywood glamour and charm through a new lipstick range. The Heaven’s Kiss lipstick collection includes four different shades and will mark the first launch for Dolly Beauty.
Dolly revealed to WWD: “I like to name my products after songs” – explaining the names of her new lipstick shades: Jolene Red, Honey Plum, Rosebud, Birthday Suit. This contains a range of nude, brown and (of course) red shades.
The lipsticks come in bedazzled packaging, as the gold lipsticks are adorned with rhinestones - a look which captures Dolly’s country glamour.
Announcing the launch on Instagram on August 13th, Dolly said: “I feel glamourous on the inside, so I want to look like it on the outside… something is coming.”
The singer shared the inspiration behind her brand to WWD: “I’ve always said I never leave a rhinestone unturned. I’ve wanted to be pretty my whole life like most girls, especially country girls that have a dream of glamour. I started creating my own little makeup things at home when I was just a kid, and I’ve been known for wearing makeup — usually too much — for years.”
She has kept the excitement going as she teases more launches, as complexion and eye products are also coming soon.
The lipstick cost $20 each and will launch on the Dolly Beauty website on August 22nd.
