Social Club X Cormega
A Hip-Hop Time Capsule Unveiled in NYC.
On July 12th, a low-lit boutique on New York’s Lower East Side transformed into a living archive of hip-hop heritage. Copenhagen-based streetwear label Social Club and Queensbridge legend Cormega joined forces for a limited-edition collaboration celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Testament—a long-revered album recorded in the late ’90s and officially released in 2005.
Hosted at Home Game, a shop already rooted in NYC music history, the event drew longtime fans, streetwear heads, and cultural observers alike, all eager to get their hands on the capsule tee and soak in the energy. The drop? A heavyweight T-shirt that pays tribute to legacy, designed with reverence and packed with personal symbolism.
A Collaboration Rooted in Legacy
This project began, fittingly, with a DM. Social Club founder Daniel Fade, a devoted Cormega fan since his youth, reached out to the artist on Instagram with a bold yet thoughtful idea: to create a capsule based on a signed CD booklet of The Testament—a prized possession from Daniel’s personal collection.
The design process was deeply intentional. The front of the tee showcases a high-resolution scan of Cormega’s original autographed album cover. On the back: the handwritten phrase “MEGA FOR SOCIAL CLUB”, penned by Cormega himself and digitized as a statement of mutual respect.
Cormega instantly resonated with the idea and praised the mock-up as a meaningful homage—not just a product drop, but a visual time capsule.
“Cormega X Social Club collaboration is quality meeting quality,” said Cormega. “The Testament is something my fans hold in high regard, so it is only right to do it with a brand that puts their all in their product—as I do. Consistency.”
Social Club: A New Force in Culture
Founded in 2022, Social Club is quickly carving out its place in the streetwear landscape by anchoring every drop in cultural storytelling. Inspired by ’90s hip-hop and the grit of New York City, the brand’s approach is premium, limited, and narrative-driven.
Though based in Copenhagen, Social Club has already gained momentum in the U.S. Their pieces have been seen on Jasson Dominguez (Yankees), Lucas Giolito (Red Sox), and Marcell Ozuna (Braves). NYC rapper Rome Streetz wore Social Club live on stage, and Wu-Tang’s Raekwon recently received a stack of gear for tour use.
This collaboration with Cormega marks their most personal drop yet—where reverence for hip-hop isn’t just a vibe, but the core DNA of the product.
“It’s more than a T-shirt,” said Fade. “It’s a tribute to legacy. We scanned every photo and signature from my original Testament booklet—a CD I’ve had for nearly two decades. This drop is a time capsule.”
The NYC Pop-Up: Queensbridge to the LES
From 2–7 PM, Home Game on the Lower East Side became a gathering ground. Beyond racks of the collab and other Social Club pieces, the event featured a curated Queensbridge soundtrack, surprise artist appearances, and the opportunity to meet Cormega himself.
“The event was executed very well,” shared Social Club. “Friends, family, and fans brought genuine energy. Some people stayed for hours—not just to shop, but to connect.”
Cormega described the energy simply as “smooth,” with a solid turnout despite the many other major events happening across NYC that weekend.

This isn’t just streetwear—it’s a wearable archive. A shirt that belongs in both your closet and your record collection. With only 100 made, it’s a collector’s item that blends design precision with raw cultural power.
“Twenty years means two decades have passed and people still hold the music dear,” said Cormega. “That’s a unique relationship.”
What’s Next?
While this drop focused on The Testament, Social Club and Cormega aren’t done yet.
“To be able to produce the official shirt for the 20th anniversary is a true honor,” said Social Club. “And 2026? Let’s just say we’ve got something very special planned.”
Next up: the 25th anniversary of another iconic Cormega album—a new chapter in a creative partnership that’s only just getting started.

Final Word
“From Queensbridge to Copenhagen and back to the LES—this is a celebration of truth, legacy, and the timelessness of hip-hop,” said Daniel Fade.
