Converse Set To Release Sneaker Collaborations

It'a an All Star line-up.

POSTED BY MALIN JONES

Converse have revealed their all star line up for Spring/Summer 2021 set to satisfy the sneaker junkie all year round.

The sneaker brand are placing focus on collaborative projects with an array of designers and musicians.

“An important value of Converse is one that respects, honors and wants to continue to foster creativity”, says VP of Footwear Brandis Russell. “Inviting in the collective genius continues to breed innovation for us.”

Converse have released the names of the creative partnerships. Those include Kim Jones, COMME des GARÇONS, Off-White, Draymond Green, Julius Erving, Natasha Cloud, Telfar, Tyler the Creator, Alexis Sablone, Bandulu, Chinatown Market and Concepts.

The season also brings special capsules, redesigning the classic and modern basketball silhouette.

The One Star Brand have released official imagery of some of the sneakers we can expect to get our hands on.

Starting with Concepts X Converse, the collaboration sees the reinvention of the Chuck 70 and All Star BB Evo silhouettes. Introducing tinted rose-orange and green.

The Chuck 70 continues to be reinvented for the S/S21 collections with Pro Leather in a crisp white, with warm yellow and forest green details along side a tiger, paying homage to the very first all-Black basketball team to win the Indiana state title.

The Chuck 70 gets an upgrade of quad axial materials in another collection along with the All Star Pro BB, both sporting a monochromoatic colorway.

Julius "Dr. J" Ervings' collab sees the Converse in Pro Leather with the original ABA (American Basketball Association) colors, with interchangable star chevron details and a ball-shaped chenille fabric patch.

The last images released show a four-part "Iridescent Pack" featuring the Pro Leather Converse and Chuck 70 in a vibrant gradient. The All Star BB Evo and G4 Low include more low key iridescent details with logos.

Release dates and prices are yet to be announced, but keep watch on the Converse website as they're expected to drop over the coming months.
