Lagerfeld Comes Back To Life In Kaiser Karl

Shades down, collars up.

The German fashion icon and luxury designer Karl Lagerfeld will be portrayed in the upcoming ‘Kaiser Karl’ series, which will air on France Disney +. The series focuses on Lagerfeld breaking his way into the French fashion scene, which we know was the start of his journey to the top. Set in Paris during the 1970s, the show tracks the young designer-played by Daniel Bruhl- in his attempts to get his foot in the door and climb to the top.

Based on the biography written by Raphaëlle Bacqué, we can expect the series to cover love interests and the rivalry between Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent, and Pierre Bergé. *Grabs popcorn*.

The six-part series will be absolutely filled to the brim with style. The retro French fashion world will light up our screens and surely inspire some of our upcoming fits. There is a hovering question mark over the idea that we will see his classic styles, which he was well known for in his later life. We hope so, and if not, we will be wearing some black shades in his memory.

Lagerfeld, best known for his role as creative director of Chanel from 1983 until he died in 2019, really changed the path and direction of fashion. Honoring his career and work in this adaptation will strengthen the legacy which he has left behind him. So don’t miss this one; it is sure to make an impression.
