Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS GEL-TERRAIN™ MT

Avant-garde sportswear.

POSTED BY ZOE TYLER

Cecilie Bahnsen is back, and she’s turning a classic into something utterly unforgettable. In her latest collab with ASICS Sportstyle, she introduces the GEL-TERRAIN™ MT—a sneaker that blends avant-garde design with everyday functionality. Debuting at the Spring/Summer 2025 show in Paris, these kicks push the limits of what sportswear can be.

Taking the original GEL-TERRAIN and reimagining it for winter, Bahnsen has crafted two distinct versions. One drops a shiny, quilted upper with intricate floral embroidery, layered under a semi-transparent, no-sew overlay that doubles as a protective finish, all built on a neoprene sock base for ultimate comfort. The other version amps up the drama with a striking TPU rain cover, accented by floral TPU patches that let the iconic silver ASICS Stripes shine through, while a blind zipper cleverly hides a traditional laced upper. It’s a study in duality—bold yet restrained, structured yet soft, technical yet unapologetically feminine.

The campaign, shot by Japanese photographer Takashi Homma, is drenched in cool blue tones that echo the translucent depths of the sneaker’s design. It captures that perfect moment of stillness after movement—a nod to ASICS’ “Sound Mind, Sound Body” philosophy.

The Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS GEL-TERRAIN™ MT is available on ceciliebahnsen.com, hits Europe on February 20, and goes global on February 28. Available in two finishes—pure silver and midnight—, these sneakers are set to make a bold statement at LN-CC during London Fashion Week
