Bottega Veneta's Pre-Fall Collection Saves Our Post-Pandemic Wardrobe

Sequin, velvet and feathers, voilà!

POSTED BY VIKTORIE BREZINOVA

Following the secret Berlin show, the Italian fashion house revealed the lookbook for their latest Wardrobe 02 collection, starring faces such as Little Simz, Oumi Janta, Skepta, Slowthai, Nenneh Chery, Arca and others.

Photographed by Tyrone Lebon, the collection is a mix of wearable casualty & everyday pieces with the right amount of extravagance. Leather quilted coats, tailored trousers, crisp suits, crochet bodysuits, leather tracksuits, velvet and sequin dress.. That is just a bit of what to expect from the whole line.

The Pre-Fall 2021 collection offers bold, frivolous, fabulous clothing in which you will look effortless and casual at the same time. Accessories range from crochet-style handbags, plastic phone-wire high heels, massive gold chains and ultra-wide leather belts. Bottega Veneta's Creative Director, Daniel Lee, distinctively chose clean lines with explosive color and fabrication: black and white for the casual side of the line while the slime green, sky blue, striking red, bright yellow and others for the freaky sequin, feather and plastic pieces.

This is the second collection after Lee decided to delete Bottega Veneta’s social media, replacing it with a quarterly online journal. Although media platforms are truly important for businesses these days (during the coronavirus pandemic in particular), Bottega Veneta is still thriving and not missing a thing – the brand is actually gaining on its exclusivity and rarity.
