Bottega Veneta Releases The First Issue Of Their Online Journal
The first issue features notorious rapper Missy Elliott.
Bottega Veneta have released their digital magazine. The first issue was released on Tuesday and is set to be a quarterly release featuring editorial photoshoots and videos.
The first issue features free-running squad Storror, designer Barbara Hulanicki and the rapper Missy Elliott. The inclusion of Missy Elliott was welcomed by many fans and critics alike as despite her prominence within rap, she has often been excluded in the high-fashion industry.
The release of the journal is the first form of communication that the fashion house has produced since they deleted all their social media accounts three months ago. The creative director of the brand, Daniel Lee, told The Guardian that he felt like social media oversimplified what he did, and this online journal will be more progressive in its content.
Over the past few years Bottega Veneta has become a major player in the industry. Back in 2018 when Lee took over the position of creative director, the brand launched their pouch clutch bag which became the fastest selling bag they had ever released. The venture into the online journal just conveys the optimism and enlightened nature of the brand.
