If you love skiing and fashion, you'll be thrilled to hear that Balenciaga has launched its first-ever Skiwear Collection. The Parisian label has created a range of clothing, accessories and gear that combines its signature style with cutting-edge technology.
The Skiwear Collection includes thermal separates, protective outerwear, gloves, footwear and eyewear, as well as skis, snowboards, poles and packs. The collection is designed to keep you warm, dry and comfortable in any weather condition, with a smart layering system and innovative features. For example, the outer layer has pockets that save your device's battery, vents that regulate your temperature and sheaths that hold your ski pass.
The collection also showcases Balenciaga's distinctive design principles, with oversized shapes, bold colors and eye-catching details. The skis and snowboards are made with mirror-polished Titanal, which gives them more precision, responsiveness and stability at high speeds. The footwear includes the new Alaska Boot, which comes in leather, nylon or fake fur versions, with chains that can be removed for different terrains.
The collection will be available at pop-up shops in Tokyo and Seoul, where you can find some exclusive pieces that won't be sold anywhere else. The pop-up shops will have a ski resort theme, to get you ready for the winter season. The Tokyo pop-up will be at the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building from November 22, and the Seoul pop-up will be at the Shinsegae Gangnam from November 22.
