As Cannes Film Fest 2019 Gets Underway Take A Look At The Best Red Carpet Looks So Far

We Cannes-not get over some of the looks!

POSTED BY ROWAN FOY

Cannes Film Festival 2019 began earlier this week and already the stars have served looks on the red carpet. As celebs arrived at the Côte d'Azur for the 72nd annual event the red carpet saw a star-studded turn out for the premiere of ‘The Dead Don’t Die’ on the first night. We take a look at the best of the first glamorous looks at the event and can’t wait to see more as the event continues.

Elle Fanning

Elle Fanning wore Gucci to the opening ceremony of the festival, looking like a sleek vintage dream in her champagne satin gown with a central purple flower, clearly, she is loving the spring vibes this year. Fanning shows she has the true movie star image with her sleek blonde hair and classic red lip, and of course her trademark perfect porcelain skin.

Next, Fanning made an ethereal entrance to the Les Miserable premiere in Valentino couture, staying true to her feminine and quirky style. The floral dress was open backed with chiffon sleeves and to compliment the look her blonde hair was braided with dainty flowers. The youngest panel member at this year's event, Fanning shows she is not inexperienced when it comes to red carpet worthy fashion, her delicate dress decorated with pink and gold roses provided a soft-glam vibe that tops the fashion charts this year.

Eva Longoria

Repping the Latin beauties, Longoria arrived to ‘The Dead Don’t Die’ premiere in a show-stopping pink Alberta Ferretti gown. Her one-shouldered Bardot look had it all, with pink sequin detail showing underneath and a thigh-high slit she matched the look with tousled hair and neutral pink makeup. The look was both risqué and elegant, so we note it as one of our favorite looks so far.

Chloe Sevigny

Classy French vibes were all Sevigny went for at this year’s Cannes Film Fest. For the opening of the festival, Sevigny wore a custom-made black Mugler gown, with a baby pink bodice and a thigh-high split for some added sexy glamour. Her sleek hair and natural makeup left all eyes to the gown and she accessorized with a pair of ‘harness gloves’ which wrapped around her neck, creating an elegant silhouette.

For Wednesday’s events, Sevigny arrived in a number from Loewe’s fall 2019 collection, a white lace long-sleeved dress with an exaggerated handkerchief neckline and a black overcoat. The monochrome look was a classic for the French Riviera vibes that are always a must have at the festival.

The actress made a stunning entrance for ‘The Dead Don’t Die’ premiere in Ralph & Russo Couture. The tulle tiered gown is always a classic but the purple ombre adds another dimension that makes this look one of our favorites. The sparkled lilac bodice makes a more subtle vibe of glamour and allows attention to her face, her sleeked back hair does the same and exposes her diamond drop earrings. Hargate looked every part a princess at this year’s event.

The French model, like many others, opted for a sleek and classic look for this year’s festival. She entered in a strapless velvet navy gown completed with a satin belt around her waist, the full pleated skirt featured satin panels, a nod to another trend seen in all our faves this year. While letting her long afro hair flow behind her naturally so her bronzy makeup and glowy skin take center stage.

Keep an eye out on Fizzy for more of the looks to come across this year’s two-week Cannes Film Festival.
