A24 just dropped the first teaser for The Drama, and it already feels like the kind of rom-com fever dream only Kristoffer Borgli could cook up. Zendaya and Robert Pattinson play an almost-too-perfect couple trying to make it to the altar, except the wedding week starts fracturing like a champagne flute under bad vibes. It’s produced by Ari Aster, which means of course the chaos comes wrapped in velvet, psychological itchiness, and that slow-burn sense of something deeply wrong humming beneath the pretty surface.
The Teaser Is a Beautiful Breakdown in Real Time
The cast is stacked with Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, Zoe Winters, and Hailey Gates, which means the ensemble meltdown energy is going to be delicious. And the marketing is already doing A24’s cheeky thing. They planted fake wedding announcements in The Boston Globe. The poster has the couple staring ahead with a subtle red streak trickling down. Call it blood, call it confetti, call it a promise.
The Drama hits theaters April 3, 2026. Between this and their upcoming team-up in Nolan’s The Odyssey, Zendaya and Pattinson are clearly entering their chaotic divine duo era. Save the date. This wedding is not surviving.
