Nu-Metal Footwear: KoRn x Adidas
The pair have reunited for a second collaboration.
Sneaker and music fans, you’re going to love this: Adidas and nu-metal band Korn are gearing up for their second capsule collection. Celebrating the band’s 30th anniversary, the collaborative line seamlessly blends the fearless aesthetics of rock music with iconic styles, adding a touch of rebellion to the classic designs of Adidas Originals.
Korn and Adidas have been linked since the 90s, when the band was spotted sporting the brand’s apparel. Korn heightened this connection with the release of “A.D.I.D.A.S,” a track off of their 1996 album Life is Peachy. All of this led up to today, where the two work together on a creative basis, releasing sought-after launches for fans of both parties.
Korn x Adidas 2024 features accessories such as socks and shoelaces, apparel including a long sleeve t-shirt and a tracksuit, and, of course, sneakers. The Campus 2.0 Korn Shoes, available in a tri-color style of carbon, cloud white, and off white, is a nod to the favorite shoe of the Korn members. This vintage-style sneaker features a suede upper and a classic silhouette with the edgy flair of Korn: the band’s signature hand-drawn lettering and a guitar pick lace jewel.
Exclusive to Korn is the Korn x Adidas Supermodified Shoe, which dons colors of brown, cream, and green. At $150, the sneaker is embellished with unique Korn and Adidas branding on the tongue as well as the green guitar pick lace jewel. Both sneakers feature artwork on the insole from Korn’s 1998 album Follow the Leader.
Continuing the integration of Korn’s album art is the 100% cotton ribbed crewneck long sleeve which blends the branding of both Adidas and the band and features Adidas classic three stripes on the sleeves. The standout piece of the capsule collaboration is a vibrant green sequined tracksuit, which also utilizes Adidas stripes on the sleeves and side panels. Standing at $300 total, the matching ensemble invigorates a classic style with Korn’s unique flair.
Made available on May 15th, this collection is exclusive to the Adidas app, select retailers, and through the CONFIRMED website, another unique addition to Korn and Adidas’ long-standing relationship.
