Zendaya Teams Up With Louis Vuitton And Murakami In New Campaign
The actress and fashion icon channels fun, vibrant energy in new collab.
Golden-globe winner and fashion icon Zendaya has struck again with another exciting and fun, imaginative collaboration. The 28-year-old has joined forces with designer Louis Vuitton and Japanese artist Takashi Murakami to commemorate the 20-year anniversary of Vuitton and Murakami working together for a collection. And boy is the fashion cool!
Zendaya was shot by Dutch photographers Inez and Vinoodh. The pictures taken of her were adorned with graphics that are staples of Murakami’s signature style. Murakami blends traditional Japanese art with modern pop culture. He’s known for his imaginative and fun, colorful artworks and ‘characters.’ Zendaya was pictured amongst some of these in the form of graphics dotted around her. The most used was the iconic Murakami flower in a variety of colors and forms. The famous Louis Vuitton panda (Superflat Panda) that Murakami designed was also shown too.
As for the fashion itself, let’s just say, less was certainly more when it came to the simple yet effective looks put together by stylist Law Roach. Zendaya rocked some of the archival pieces from the previous collection in the early 2000s by Vuitton and Murakami. She was seen wearing a printed scarf tied around her neck to look like a halter top that allegedly cost $515. Other garments she rocked were a leather belt around her waist, a handbag awash with the classic LV monogram and Murakami flowers, a pair of simple blue denim jeans, and a basic, white baby tee with what appeared to be some kind of small scarf/necktie tied around her neck that was adorned with yet more Murakami staples.
One thing is for sure, our inner-children are definitely healed after witnessing Zendaya absolutely devouring these simple yet cute Vuitton and Murakami looks.
