Scott is a highly respected novelist, earning rewards for her work, as well as being a successful entrepreneur, founding Bystander Revolution in 2014. Scott can also be associated with famous author Toni Morrison, as she used to be her student.
More widely known for her marriage to Jeff Bezos, she kept her life on the private side in the midst of it all. Scott chose to spend her time writing novels and taking care of four children, all while Bezos created his Amazon empire.
Scott brought attention to her name last year, when she became one of the biggest individual donators in history, by giving away a whopping $1.7 billion dollars to non-profit organizations. Scott refused to accept thank you notes or lavish dedications in her honor, she simply chose to help others during a crucial time. She is truly a “beam of light”.
