What Happened To Deer Print?
I wanted a fur coat!
Towards the end of 2025, TikTok, Tumblr, and Pinterest saw a sudden influx of deer print. I was seeing giant deer-print fur coats, deer-print nail art, and some very Downtown Girl-style outfits paired with furry deer-print leg warmers — always garnering hundreds of comments asking where they were from.

Now that we're in the second half of 2026, I'm realizing this craze will never be as all-encompassing as other prints have been. As popular as it's been in certain communities, it never fully hit the mainstream, and I have to express my disappointment.
Deer print seemed like the natural progression of the Coquette aesthetic, and I thought it was seriously cute. I never got around to trying it out, yet already, word on the street is that zebra print is the next big thing. We had cow print, leopard print, a splash of deer print... and now there's something else already in the works!

I'm open-minded to a return to zebra print, but that doesn't mean I'm not clinging to deer print while it's still in stores. I may have missed my chance to get that fur coat, but I'm not giving up on deer print just yet.
