VOGUE World 2024: Paris Event To Celebrate 100 Years of Fashion and Sport
Head back in time with Vogue's unmissable event.
The countdown for VOGUE World 2024 is on. On the 23rd of June, the biggest names in fashion will arrive at the Place Vendôme in Paris for the highly anticipated event.
Although tickets have sold out, Vogue has announced that the event will be livestreamed exclusively on Vogue at 9pm CET / 3pm ET. It will be presented by model and actor Cara Delvingne and will be directed by Sam Wrench, who previously worked on the Taylor Swift Eras Tour film.
Previously held in New York and London, VOGUE World is an unmissable extravaganza full of fashion moments. This year, Vogue has collaborated with French youth athletic academies to celebrate 100 years of sport and fashion. The show will travel back to the 1920s, with each sport – ranging from gymnastics to fencing – to be paired with a different decade of French fashion. It will celebrate both contemporary and historic French designers.
“Paris will be a kind of opening ceremony; one that celebrates 100 years of fashion and sport, as well as this extraordinary city,” said Anna Wintour.
Taking part in the preparation are make-up artist Dame Pat McGrath and artistic director and choreographer Parris Goebel. There is also an element of surprise to the show, with live performances expected to be announced on the day.
A portion of money from ticket sales is to be donated to Secours Populaire, a humanitarian organization that gains access to sporting equipment for aspiring young athletes.
It’s a party that is not to be missed.
