UNIQLO UT Just Released a New Collection Celebrating Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring’s Art
Take a look at the new line of t-shirts, sneakers, baseball caps, tote bags and more.
UNIQLO UT just dropped a line of tees, sneakers, baseball caps, tote bags and umbrellas that feature Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring’s infamous artwork.
In a recent press release, Jeanine Basquiat of the Basquiat Estate commented, ““UNIQLO and Basquiat together have become a truly classic partnership. UNIQLO always comes up with ways to use artwork in their designs that are fresh and new every time,” Keith Haring Studio’s acting director Gil Vazquez added. “The brand has really done a great job in using art and commerce to communicate to a broad, diverse audience, which is a core value in Haring’s artistic practice,”
This range is clearly the reinvention of these iconic artworks, breathing new life into their era-defining pieces. This line erases the blurred barrier between art and fashion, showcasing that once again, they are a concrete part of each other’s worlds, this symbiotic relationship constantly influencing and inspiring one another.
Standout pieces from the collection are the black tee printed with Warhol’s unmistakable Campbell’s Soup Sans image, white and black tees featuring Basquiat’s signature crown motif and navy blue tees featuring Haring’s crawling human figure silhouette. Future additions include slip-on sneakers and home goods coming this August.
The line ranges in price from $7.90 to $39.90 USD and is available now in the US in stores and online.
