sacai x ACRONYM Resort 2022 Collection Just Landed
The prolific designer sacai teams up with German streetwear label ACRONYM.
Sacai’s Chitose Abe has returned and is in collaboration with German streetwear label ACRONYM to give us an elegant aesthetic with a hint of practicality. ACROYNM’s brand designer Errolson Hugh’s specialising in technical outerwear becomes conceptual and confident as sacai makes its mark.
With overlapping textures, one design is crafted from an unusual but special combination of satin and raincoat fabric in a camel brown hue. Abe also pairs a buffalo plaid sweater with a buffalo plaid chiffon max skirt, so stylish! With contrasting shapes and patterns, the collection’s looks subvert our usual conceptions of fashion, creating unexpected pieces whilst still remaining subtle and functional.
Hugh takes to Instagram: “And as I believe you can see from the results, it’s a true blend of the philosophies of both brands, where the sum is greater than the parts.”
