Exercise Regularly

One of the best ways to feel good, fight illness, and stay fit is to exercise regularly. Regardless of your current fitness or abilities, you can start today. And, you can do it right at home. Gain upper body strength by lifting weights or even household items like watering cans or gallons of milk. Increase your cardiovascular health by raising your heartbeat from a seated position. Think about including a handcycle or punching bag into your routine. They are great stress relievers as well as exercise tools. However, you must enjoy your chosen exercise. If you don’t like it, you won’t commit to doing it regularly. Another fitness tip is to ask a friend or family member to join you. Play music and make the workout session fun.

Set a Sleep Schedule

With all of us connected to technology devices twenty-four hours a day, it is difficult to turn off. And, this hipper-connectivity impacts our sleep. One way to get your needed sleep is to set a sleep schedule. Turn off all technology devices (televisions, tablets, phones) at least one hour before your set bedtime. The best advice is to set this schedule and keep it throughout the week, even on weekends. With more sleep, you will notice a difference in your energy levels. Also, it is a great way to recover from your exercise routine. During sleep, your body repairs itself. It’s time to get your z’s.

Now more than ever, it is crucial to create a home that is a safe environment and healthy environment. One key element for all of us, especially those with a disability, is having enough space.
