On Sunday September 25, it was officially announced that Rihanna will be headlining the Super Bowl 2023 Halftime show. Because of the megastar’s long-awaited return to music, the hype and anticipation for this specific halftime show performance has skyrocketed to new heights after the recent announcement.

This will be Rihanna’s first performance since the 2018 Grammy Awards, as well as her first music venture since the release of her most recent studio album Anti in 2016. For the past several years, the Work singer has been questioned on a constant basis about the release of her next studio album. The Barbadian songstress, however, has ventured into many different lines of business during her hiatus from music. Rihanna has birthed a mega-successful makeup and skincare line Fenty, as well as her highly popular lingerie and loungewear brand Savage X Fenty.

As of Sunday when the announcement of Rihanna’s super bowl performance was made, fans have been speculating online about the setlist for the superstar’s performance, as well as which special guests will be featured during Riri’s 12-15 minute run during the worldwide football event. It has even been calculated by Google Trends that interest in the 2023 super bowl has increased by almost 10,000% after the announcement of Rihanna as the halftime show headliner. Clearly, Rihanna is good for business.

The super bowl 2023 is set to broadcast live from the State Farm Stadium in Pheonix, Arizona on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
