The Essex Serpent: Apple TV+ Unveils First Promotional Image And Release Date
Starring Tom Hiddleston and Claire Danes.
Apple TV+ announced that limited series The Essex Serpent will premiere on May 13 with its first two episodes.
The series taking place in a Victorian England is based on Sarah Perry's novel of the same name and will follow widow Cora Seaborne (Claire Danes) moving to Essex to investigate reports of a mythical serpent in the region. According to the official synopsis, the woman will form an unlikely bond with the village leader (Tom Hiddleston) but when tragedy strikes, locals will accuse her of attracting the creature.
Apple TV+ released a first-look image of the 2 protagonists walking in a desolate countryside. A few months ago set photos leaked online, revealing more costumes and visuals.
