For me, summer dates are the best kind. I envision long walks on the beach, cocktail in hand, as you watch the sunset together. With that being said, they can take a variety of forms - what you'd wear on a hike would differ from my relaxing beach fantasy. So whether your date is a beach walk, a hike, or a sunset drink, here are some outfit ideas for whatever summer has planned.

Maxi Dresses And Sandals

It goes without saying that this would be at the top of my list. Maxi dresses can make you look put-together with minimal effort, and imagine walking with the skirt flowing in the breeze, sandals on your feet as you walk through the sand. I normally opt for linen dresses because it's such a breathable material - the last thing you need is for sweat to ruin your date.

Crochet Top And Shorts

This combo is more practical for dates when you need to move around. I once wore a cream-colored crochet to play beach volleyball on a date, and I got so many compliments from passers-by. What is it about crochet that so perfectly encapsulates summer?

Romper And Cardigan

In my humble opinion, there is little in this world that beats a cute romper. They're sweet, summery, and you can wear them virtually anywhere - recently, Rosalía was spotted in a black one adorned with feathers, and she's a singer who knows a thing or two about style. Don't forget a cardigan for those cooler periods!
