Telfar And UGG Announce Collab And Pre-order Details
Time to secure that bag.
Dubbed the ‘Bushwick Birkin,’ Telfar’s shopping bag is undoubtedly the most sought after bag of this year, and now they're set to collaborate with UGG on what could be 2021’s hottest offering, as photos of new bags have emerged on Instagram.
Partially down to it’s largely accessible price point in comparison to most designer brand offerings the CFDA award-winning design has disrupted the luxury market, selling out time after time again this year and counting Dua Lipa, Lizzo and others as fans.
Telfar saw their bags hitting big numbers on the resale market this year. Unhappy with how this conflicted with the brand’s ethos “not for you, for everyone," founder Telfar Clemens introduced the ‘Bag Security Programme’ back in the summer. This meant that fans could pre-order their bag to ensure they’d have their hands on one before the year is up, and avoid paying huge resell prices.
The pre-order format is being brought back for this release, which is likely going to be one of it’s in-demand iterations yet. Ditching the bags usual vegan leather for UGG’s luxe chestnut coloured suede and sand coloured shearling, it will be available in both small and medium sizes. According to the Instagram post, the bags will be in shoppers' hands somewhere between March 31 and June 19, but you’ll be safe in the knowledge that you’ll have your order secured. For this reason the preorder will also include an exclusive Christmas card, so if you’re copping to make a loved one happy, you’ll be able to let them know that their wait will be very much worth it.
