Ssøn’s SS27 Collection Feels Like The Start Of Something Bolder

One of my favorite parts of Copenhagen Fashion Week is discovering the brands that feel like they're on the verge of becoming everyone's next obsession. This season, Ssøn definitely felt like one of those names.

The Swedish label returned for Spring/Summer 2027 as part of Copenhagen Fashion Week's One to Watch initiative, becoming the first Swedish brand to receive the recognition. It's a huge milestone, but after watching the collection, it also felt completely deserved.

It Doesn't Feel Like Typical Scandinavian Minimalism

When people think of Scandinavian fashion, they usually imagine clean basics and quiet neutrals. Ssøn takes that foundation and pushes it somewhere much more interesting.

The collection balanced sharp tailoring with relaxed silhouettes, creating looks that felt polished without becoming overly formal. There was a youthful confidence running through everything, giving classic shapes a fresher, less predictable energy.

I loved that the clothes still felt wearable, but they never slipped into playing it safe.

Like every designer on the official schedule, Ssøn presented within Copenhagen Fashion Week's sustainability framework, proving that responsible production doesn't have to limit creativity. If anything, those restrictions seem to encourage more thoughtful design decisions from emerging labels.

For a young brand, that's an impressive challenge to meet.v

Last season introduced Ssøn as an exciting newcomer. This season felt like confirmation that the early attention wasn't a fluke.

There's still plenty of room for the brand to evolve, but that's exactly what makes it interesting. Ssøn seems focused on building a clear identity one collection at a time.
