Show-Stopping Premiere Looks
Premiere looks in fashion.
Premiere events are moments when celebrities showcase their most stunning looks. To me, premiere looks have always embodied the elegance of gracing the red carpet and making a statement. The most recent example was the Nosferatu premiere at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Wednesday, the 4th. In this article, we’ll explore premiere looks from various films, including the Nosferatu premiere.
Premiere outfits are often graceful and, at times, understated, but they always present an opportunity to shine. Fans gather to show their support, and cameras capture the glamour that fills the atmosphere.
Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman captivated audiences in a sheer, transparent dress that perfectly matched the theme of the film. The dress, reminiscent of a Renaissance painting, was a bold and fitting choice for Portman to wear. Designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, it was described as “aligned with the film’s offbeat sophistication.”
Jean Paul Gaultier’s creations are renowned for their originality and boundary-pushing designs, earning him the title of "the enfant terrible" of the fashion industry—an idea perfectly embodied by this dress. It is truly a rare and remarkable piece in the world of fashion.
Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman dazzled in a stunning green dress that exudes a Victorian and Edwardian aesthetic. The piece, designed by John Galliano for Givenchy's Fall/Winter 1996 collection, was originally created for The Portrait of a Lady (1997), perfectly fitting the film's atmosphere.
Nicole completed the look with a dazzling necklace, cementing her status as the centerpiece of the event. The dress is captivating, appearing to glisten with its exquisite material and intricate details.
Emma Corrin
At the Nosferatu premiere, the actors and actresses truly stood out, with Emma Corrin stealing the spotlight in a daring cream-colored dress. Their look seemed as if it were lifted straight from the film, bringing that essence to the red carpet. Emma styled the dress with black strappy heels and boldly accentuated the look by making their nipples a focal accessory.
This outfit was my personal favorite among all the looks at the premiere. What truly ties the ensemble together is the turtleneck detail, which gives the dress a sense of elegance and makes it perfectly suited to the occasion.
Lily-Rose Depp
As the belle of the ball, Lily-Rose Depp made a statement in a button-detailed dress, continuing the apparent theme among the cast of wearing outfits that feel as though they could be part of the film. A discussion has emerged about who has truly captured the essence of the film's atmosphere—Emma Corrin or Lily-Rose Depp. Emma’s looks have leaned into the film's darker tones, while Lily’s style has been more vintage and Victorian, aligning closely with the wardrobe depicted in the movie.
This particular dress, worn during one of the press tours, is a perfect example. You could easily imagine Lily wearing it to an elegant afternoon tea.
