‘Sex And The City’ Set To Return To Our Screens For A Reboot

But one cast member won't be returning.

Sex and the City is apparently returning for a limited series on HBO Max. The original series aired from 1998 to 2004 and two feature films followed in 2008 and 2010.

The plot follows Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her three friends, Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) in New York City. The show follows their contrasting yet ever-intwined lives.

Theres no news what the reboot will look like but it’s reported that Kim Cattrall will not be joining her cast mates. It comes as no surprise as the internet is well documented with the Sarah and Kim feud. Perhaps a new actress will replace her (if they can live up to her high standard!) or they’ll simply end her story.

Last year, Sarah Jessica Parker revealed on Entertainment Tonight “I wouldn’t call it a reboot, I would call it a ‘revisit,” and “I’d like to see where all of them are. I’m curious, the world has changed even since the movie”. SJP is curious to find out how ‘“technology and social media” and “sexual politics and the #MeToo movement and Time’s Up” has impacted the four women’s lives.

We’re sure that Carrie would have a lot to say about it!
