Rick Owens Unveils Latest Iconic Converse Collab

Square toe sneakers are like totally in now.

Rick Owens debuted his Drkshdw Autumn/Winter 2021 line during last week’s digital Paris fashion week, and he did not disappoint. Owens is not shy to a sneaker collab after his partnership with Veja, but this year he has surprised us with the debut of the flat front sneaker with Nike owned brand Converse.

Being the most talked-about sneaker to kick off this year’s virtual runway, the feature is a new hot take on the classic black Chuck ‘70s with an overly extended tongue. For the first time ever, the brand has replaced the rounded tip with an unconventional boxy toe front and ditched the signature star in the O to blend the latest line.

Brandis Russel, global vice president of Converse footwear told WWD ‘Rick Owens will continue to reimagine and rearticulate classic Converse sneakers in 2021 through his Drkshdw line’. Does this mean some exciting new four squared footwear in the future – be there or be square right?

Take a look at the new Drkshdw line.
