New app and site launches that lets shoppers search for responsible fashion that’s filtered to specific requirements.
Amsterdam-based, Renoon is an app of the future. Everyone wants to shop sustainably, but most of us find it difficult and time consuming. Making the experience personal to you, the app is the smartest way to shop online while being eco-friendly.
Renoon saves you time by using a range of variables such as vegan, rental, second-hand, carbon-neutral and others. Not only does it aim to deliver great quality sustainable options, but it doesn’t disregard on particular taste and style either. When getting started, questions are asked to cater for specific desires such as what type of clothing you normally wear.
The online platform is sectioned into five categories: environmental protection, human wellbeing, animal ethics, innovation and technology, and modern consumption. Some of us are trying out being vegan and only want to focus on animal welfare in our clothes. This selection allows us to do hone in on requirements.
Iris Skrami, founder of the app says “Changing the world as an individual is difficult, but with the right tools and technology it can be a lot easier.” She thought of the idea when struggling finding something pretty and sustainable to wear to a party.
Unfortunately, there are a few brands out there that claim to be fully circular and non-polluting, but simply aren’t. All of the brands featured on the app have passed a strict sustainability framework test so that there’s no false promises.
