Reebok X Gigi Hadid Present Their SS19 Collection
Back to the roots.
After the previous Capsule collection, Reebok and Gigi Hadid proudly launch the full Reebok x Gigi Hadid collection. At the launch event in New York, she says:
"I hope this collection motivates people to look for exciting sources of inspiration in their lives and valuing things that have made them what they are. For self-esteem, it is very important to live out and strive for different talents, hobbies, interests, and goals, and that is exactly what it is Message from this collection.“
Inspired by past and present trends, this collection blends Reebok's authentic heritage with Gigi's unique, sports and fashion life. As a former volleyball player and rider, sport still plays a big role in her life. Their enthusiasm for volleyball is reflected in each part of the collection in the form of broad stripes, color blocking and inspired by the 90s. As a flashback to her childhood, the images play with the fact that she still enjoys being in nature, though she grew up in the fashion world. The brand new Aztrek Double also features an updated version of the original 90s running shoe extra thick midsole, which celebrates its debut in Gigi's new collection.
About the shoe, she says:
"I have fully relied on Reebok for the shape and quality of the sneakers. And the silhouettes served as inspiration for the rest of the collection. For the garments, the feel-good factor, ie the technologies used, also plays a decisive role.”
The collection means a lot to Gigi:
"This collection is the expression of my personality - it is fitness-oriented but at the same time creative.
