Leave all your worries behind and listen to ‘Saudade’ now.

‘Saudade’ by Palmaria feels like summer nostalgia, a touch of wind on the face and sand on the beach, underneath your feet.  It is hypnotic, soulful and dreamy and it sounds like the xx song – if the xx were born in Italy.

Listening to their music, there is no doubt the Italian duo was raised by the sea. Although they are currently based in London, their music is still full of natural inspirations and sunny landscapes, perfectly conveyed by a delicate vocal and a dreamy guitar.

The title of their new track, ‘Saudade,’ can be translated as ‘melancholy’ or ‘nostalgia.’ No wonder because you can definitely sense complex feelings of bittersweet longing throughout the whole song. The duo describes the single as ‘the story of a life-changing encounter, set in a dream in the heat of the summer night. Something that leaves a sense of déjà vu and a longing for something or someone that might never be found again. In your mind, you keep reliving that moment.’

If you enjoy the view of the sun setting and the feeling of the summer breeze turning a bit cold, make sure to listen to ‘Saudade’ by Palmaria, out on streaming services.
