Our Pick of The Best Viral TikTok Tracks (Worth Streaming)

‘I just flipped the switch... (flipped flipped)’

POSTED BY LAURA JOHNSON

I know we started this quarantine period, INSISTING we would not fall into the trap of Gen-Z’s TikTok world. But here I am, day 13 of my lockdown and my phone is telling me I’ve spent 6 hours (per day) on the app, this week. The video-sharing app has hit 1.5 billion downloads, surpassing Instagram, and has, in turn, made hundreds of songs go viral, via #dancechallenges.

We've picked out the 5 best TikTok tracks, which are (actually) worth steaming:

#1 Don Toliver – No Idea

Don Toliver is an American rapper, singer and songwriter, who signed to Travis Scott’s ‘Cactus Jack Records’ label in 2018 and has become one of the most exciting new artists of 2020. His track ‘No Idea’, released back in 2019, has become a TikTok staple over the past few months and has amassed 180m streams on Spotify. It’s hard to scroll through the For You page and not see at least one #noidea dance video, but who can complain really? It’s fire.

#2 JACKBOYS, Travis Scott, Young Thug – OUT WEST

The next in our list of loveable so-called TikTok tunes come from JACKBOYS, Travis Scott and Young Thug. Nicole Bloomgarden started the #outwestchallenge in December last year, making 'OUT WEST' go viral in just a matter of days, creating an original dance routine (perfect for learning whilst stuck inside)! It’s hard to not love this track when we’re spoilt with a trio of great artists.

#3 Brent Faiyaz – Trust

The next dance came from 17-year-old Terin Joseph (these kids be getting 1million+ followers before they can even drink huh?), and it’s a Lil’ smoother and less chaotic than the rest. Brent Faiyaz found his ‘Trust’ track at the center of the newest dance challenge. Add to your easy listenin’ playlist ASAP!

#4 Lil Mosey - Blueberry Faygo

XXL Fresher Lil Mosey’s track ‘Blueberry Faygo’, has been used over 2m times on Tiktok, has been streamed 100m times on Spotify and peaked at number 13 on Billboard 100, last month. Winter Love Island (UK) runner ups Luke T and Siannese have even got involved in the challenge! It’s one of the easier dances, so perfect for any wanna-be TikTok famous babes out there to start with!

#5 Megan Thee Stallion – Savage

Keara Wilson posted the original routine to Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Savage’ track, from her new album ‘Suga’, and it only took 5 TikTok’s to make it go viral! Thanks to a boost from social distancing and people spending much more time on their phones, the track has BLOWN UP and the dance has been re-created by Normani and Hot Girl Summer herself.

Is this the song of ‘self-iso’ summer?
